from 179 reviewsThis feeder is great for our cats. The stainless steel bowls do scare you a little when it drops if you don't expect it. It seems to hold a good amount of food and setting up the times were easy, but it would have been easier if I had read the instructions correctly. It isn't too noisy other than when it drops the food. The stainless steel bowls are easy to clean too. The do look a little thin, but when I compared it to the cat fish we have I realized it was the same thickness.Really like the battery or plug option. Use the plug option for our since we didn't have any working D batteries. 1 time we lost power and then it came back on and it still remembered the time and program settings.Great feeder for the money.Final not, this does come in a small box, but it is because they packed it very efficiently. So don't let the size of the box fool you.Holds plenty of food, tend to use this during the day time when I am working and fill it like every few weeks. The only con is that you can program if for the food to drop at a specific time on a specific day of the week. Like maybe on the weekends feed them at a different time, but most people won't probably need that.
I have had open feeding for my cats for a few years. Which has caused two of my felines to become obese. I purchased these feeders in hopes to correct that problem. They work like a charm. I can’t say enough good about them. They came very well packed. Everything had its place. They were a breeze to setup and to program them. They came with very clear instructions. I have three feeders, which hold all together 13 pounds. I believe they dispense 1/16 of a cup each time. It doesn’t really say anywhere but I measured to be accurate and came up with that number. I set it up for the cats to eat 6 times a day and two of those times they receive 2 portions which equals 1/2 cup per day. I love the portion control, the timed feedings, the size and sturdiness. I bought the metal pans which are an excellent choice, because when the feeders dispense the food the noise brings them running. Not one will miss out on a meal now or overeat. They are small enough to travel on trips. You can use the battery function or USB function. I use both but I like the battery function better because you can move them freely. This is an excellent find for obese cats and controlled eating.
This feeder is perfect for my two cats that like to eat too much too fast (and puke after 🤢). This helps portion just enough throughout the day and I haven't seen any messes since I've used it. It's simple to configure the settings, took me like 3 days of messing with the portions to see a good fit with my babies eating habits!
This machine is awesome! The machine we have down in Florida was far more expensive and requires WiFi. I don’t have WiFi and I have to take it to a McDonald’s or Starbucks to program! Not only that, should we have a nationwide internet blackout, or if that company itself goes defunct, my cats (3) are SOL! However this machine is so simple to program feeding times and portions, directly from the back-lighted display! I’m not rich, hence no internet but I have another home in Florida and will be ordering another unit just like this, for that location. BTW, this unit can be transported in its small and compact box, but our small size vehicle has limited space, as you can guess. This is why I gave it a five star rating!
Can’t recommend this feeder enough! Have had mine for over a year and the charge lasts over a month. Excellent purchase. Never want to go back to life before this incredible machine. My cat has an overeating problem and she has never been healthier or happier. She’s still round/robust/full-figured/big boned :P but happy and relaxed and no longer morbidly obese.
1.5 years of use and I couldn't be happier. Great product for a solid price. Was tired of using the push button feeders and needed an app controlled on. This feeder has been so good I wanted to purchase another one for my small dog. Hence the reason for this review. I'm buying my second one. Cheers!

So far, I love this feeder. I bought three. I’m really happy and relieved because I had been looking at automatic feeders for over a month and ended up buying some that I had to return because my cats were able to get extra food out of the food dispenser. Two of my cats are a little chunky, so that was one of my main concerns when getting another.Pros:-Very secure! My cats haven’t been able to get food out of the top and they haven’t been able to get food out of the hole where the food dispenses. They stick their paws up there and try to get food out and so far, no extra food has fallen out. I even saw another review that said their cat learned to knock the feeder around and extra food would fall out, so I was nervous about buying these, but I haven’t had that problem. I even shook the feeders around to test it and it was fine. But if you do have a very determined cat, I’d suggest getting some Velcro stickers for the bottom of the feeder to hold it in place so it can’t tip over, because they’re on the smaller side.-Food dispenses at pretty much the same time. I bought three for my three cats and all the food dispenses at the same time, if not one or two seconds apart.-Very sleek and modern look. Most automatic cat feeders are 4 liters or bigger, so I like that this one is smaller and doesn’t take up so much space.-Rechargeable batteries. You can choose to keep the feeders plugged in and charging while using them, or you can unplug them and have them off the charger.-Battery life. I’ve had the feeders off the charger for almost four weeks now and two of them are at 40% and one of them is at 50%. So the battery life is really good.-App is very user friendly and easy to use. Also, easy set up, as long as you switch your WiFi over to 2.4ghz. Once you set up the feeders, you can switch back to 5ghz.I was having an issue at first with the app. The food would dispense on time throughout the day and then it wouldn’t dispense again starting the next day. I kept having to go back in the app and manually turn them back on. I was so confused. I thought I had them set to all days of the week cause in the app it says “repeat” and then lists all the days of the week. I contacted the customer support and they were super helpful and they told me I need to actually tap the days of the week in the app to get it to repeat lol🤦♀️ so they work great now and dispense at the right days/times.There are many more pros, but those are the main ones that stood out to me.Cons:-If you have multiple feeders, I wish there was a way in the app for the “feed now” button to dispense food from all feeders at the same time. Or I wish there was a way when you’re setting up your pets schedule, you could select all feeders and set them all up at once. Instead you have to do each feeder individually.-Portions. The portions are a little weird. They go by 1/24ths. I feed my cats blue wilderness and each portion is approximately 30 pieces of kibble. Sometimes it’s a little more, sometimes it’s a little less. Nothing major though. I do wish they had better portion options. I like to give my cats a “late night snack” and the first portion is too small, but the second portion is too much. These are definitely not deal breakers though. The pros far outweigh the cons. And as long as the feeders keep working as they should and I get a few years out of them, I will be very happy!!
This has been a great feeder so far. I’ve been using this for a couple weeks now for my cat.The feeder holds plenty of food and drops food great. Very easy to use and figure out. Super light weight so it is also easy to travel with if needed. It can be registered to 6 feedings a day and releases up to 12 portions (1/2 a cup). Personally I feed 4 portions to equal 1/4 a cup (measured it with a real measure for accuracy). Then 3 times a day my kitty also gets a snack and the feeder is programmed to release 1 portion which is about 1 tbs. This product has definitely been worth the money. The petlibro products are all around great.
Super great pet feeder! It is rechargeable and will let you know the battery life and when to charge it. I have to charge it about every month or so - thankfully my cat doesn't mind that the location of her food changes. It also notifies you when food levels are low. The capacity isn't huge, but is fine and likely good for keeping food fresher. Bowl is easy to remove and clean. The app is easy to use! I like that you can set the schedule and also manually deliver food whenever you want from your phone. Easy to connect to wifi. Overall great product! And I think it looks nice too.
Life saver for cat owners who are rudely woken up to no avail every morning. My cat is typically a saint now. Couldn’t live without this feeder. Set times to dispense food, never jams. I’ve always used the same cat food (prescription hills diet food) which are bigger kibble sizes. Life saver for leaving on short trips. Easy to clean. Stainless steel food bowl but the rest is plastic. Holds a huge bag of cat food. Peace of mind!

Update-2 years later:I have had this for two years now and there have been no problems with jamming, malfunctions, etc. The battery back up is excellent and has worked great during power outages. Even when I take the batteries out and disconnect from outlet to clean, the clock and settings resume perfectly without having to be reset once reconnected to power sources. One issue is that if it is not cleaned regularly crevices in the shute, in the part that rotates to portion the food, etc can develop some mold as even the dry kibble has some moisture/oils. I take it apart and clean it about once a month. The other issue is that after I take it apart and wash everything, it has to dry ABSOLUTELY completely or else more mold will develop. I live in an extremely humid environment in the summers and it can be very hard to get it completely dry-especially the parts with multiple crevices and nooks and crannies. I've learned to dry it with a hand towel as much as possible, then let it sit for several hours, tap the pieces that have nooks and crannies on my hand repeatedly until I no longer feel droplets coming out, let it sit again and test again for moisture before reassembling it. However, even though this is a pain, the feeder is absolutely worth it in my opinion. I still have someone come by once a day when I am away to check on the cat and make sure the feeder it working ok (and clean the litter box, etc) but I no longer have to have someone come more than that. Although I have read other reviews where people mention that their cat has learned to tip it over to get the top off, my cat has not bothered it.Original review:I bought this several months ago for my obese cat who can't be convinced that he will get meals reliably and eats all of whatever is put before him rapidly and then barfs it up. I've been able to program it to dispense small amounts of food 6 times a day and he is slowly losing weight and mostly satisfied. The only problem has been that the directions for taking the inner piece out when cleaning are incorrect and could damage the feeder if followed the way it is printed. I found an excellent YouTube video which showed the proper way to do this. It also matters which way it is reassembled... again seems vulnerable to breaking if not done properly. So the printed directions which come with the product need revising/correcting. The hopper holds nearly a month's worth of food. No jamming so far. The display is easy to program (the directions are clear and accurate for this feature) and the clock maintains the time even when there's no power from either battery or electricity. For some reason, my batteries have run down even with little to no use while the unit is plugged into the electricity socket. I have recently put in new batteries in case there was something wrong with the first set so hopefully I can see if this is a problem with the unit or not. I do need the batteries to stay charged in case of power outages. I still have a pet sitter come once a day if I am gone more than a day to make sure everything is ok.
I formerly had a gravity kibble feeder, which allowed my cats unlimited access to dry Purina Cat Chow. One of my two cats is obese, so I bought this feeder to control the amount of food consumed.General impressions of the product:(a) Works great with Purina Cat Chow, and probably would with nearly all kibble foods.(b) Incredible value. This product has lots of material (molded plastic), electronics, and electromechanical elements. It is amazing to be able to purchase this at retail for around $40.(c) Seems to be well thought out in every respect. Not hard to program. Essentially, the product has a minimum portion (1/24 of a cup), and you just set times and the number of 1/24-cup portions to be dispensed at each time.I have nothing negative to say about the product. But there some thoughts:(a) I'm skeptical that the batteries would last 180 days as claimed. The device has a single LED that is always illuminated, and active electronics. I have not measured the electrical current consumption, but even at 10mA (assuming the engineers have done a REALLY good job), I calculate 150 days max. I would guess that either plan on changing the batteries 3-4 times a year, or use the batteries as a power fail backup (you can have batteries and wall power connected at the same time).(b) With my 2 cats (on a diet), the food reservoir lasts nearly two weeks. I think in a typical 1- or 2-cat household, refilling it once per week would be adequate.(c) As one other reviewer pointed out, when reassembling the portion of the product containing the moving partition that dispenses food, the locking tabs will engage in 3 positions, but only 1 position is correct (the 3 tabs are not 120 degrees apart). This is a minor gotcha. It has a reassembly (after cleaning) complexity similar to a kitchen blender.(d) The company claims to have a 2-year hassle-free warranty. Assuming that the company honors the warranty, this product is an incredible value. On a humorous note, there is a delay of a fraction of a second between when the product's motor starts (nearly silent) and when the food clanks into the stainless steel feeding bowl. I've found, after a month of exposure to the product, that one of my cats begins moving towards the feeder before I hear anything (she clearly hears the motor start). So, it has doubled as a cat hearing test. I'm convinced that one of my cats has outstanding hearing.
